Biography

Elias was named as a son in his father's will dated 15 March 1743. Lib f page 259. [1]

Elias married Willempie Wall born 24 MAY 1709 in Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey. The couple had 10 children, one of whom was John born 08 MAR 1734 in Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey of whom see his profile. John was a Colonel in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War.[2]

Elias Covenhoven of Middletown, Monmouth NJ wrote his will 16 Dec 1750, mentions wife but not by name. Children: John, Peter, Patience, Lidia, Jane, Sarah, Anne and unborn child. Exe. brother Peter Covenhoven (Cownover), John Longstreet of Freehold and brother-in-law John Wall of Middletown. Wits.: Roelyf Covenhoven, Garret Schenck. Proved 30 Jan 1750. Lib E p 478. [3]
